Sudanese trade fair launches in Juba

Juba

Hosted by South Sudanese and Sudanese officials, the first trade and investment fair for Sudanese products in South Sudan opened today in Juba.

Freedom Hall will see a range of Sudanese consumer goods, agricultural products and vehicles displayed for the next week to industry officials and individual retailers alike.

Organised under the theme ‘to effectively strengthen and diversify the economies of the two countries’, the fair has been endorsed by President Kiir, Vice-President James Wani Igga and Sudanese General Mohammad Hamdan Dagalo.

A poster circulated advertising the trade fair

The fair is formally being hosted by Sudaexpo, a Sudanese company for trade exhibits, but will be closely supervised by the South Sudanese Ministry of Investment and Chamber of Commerce.

It is hoped by all parties that the exhibition will go a long way to stabilise and strengthen consumer and trade relations between the two countries.
