Central Equatoria appoints new economic ministers

The Governor Of Central Equatoria, the Hon.Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has appointed a number of new economic ministers for state development today.


Among South Sudan’s 10 states and 3 administrative areas, Central Equatoria was the only state to launch an administrative shakeup of this kind.


The new appointees have been announced as:



1- Hon. Elisabeth Pita Lugor, Commissioner General for the Central Equatoria State Investment Corporation.


2- Hon. Jackson Abugo Gama, Commissioner General for the Central Equatoria State Revenue Authority.


3- Hon. Samuel Lokulang, Commissioner General for the Central Equatoria State Insurance Regulatory Authority.


4- Hon.Tereza Angelo Lazarous, Executive Director for the Central Equatoria State Insurance Regulatory Authority.


The gubernatorial decree will come into force from today, Monday 4th January.


In an interview with the South Sudan Friendship Press Elizabeth Pita Logur, Commissioner General for the Investment Corporation, urged citizens of Central Equatoria to work with state leadership for the sake of good investment.


‘Central Equatoria state will be example to all ten states and three administrative areas in the republic of South Sudan’ Pita said.


The Governor’s appointments follows President Kiir’s choice to promote 6 Deputy Governors on Saturday, 3rd January. All 6 are from OPP, or Other Political Parties, and include Deputy Governors in Central Equatoria and Upper Nile state.
