The Gender base violence court in Juba sentenced a 30 years old man to ten years imprisonment for raping five years old girl last year in May 20th at Gudele residential Area, Juba South Sudan. Speaking to the press, the presiding Judge Francis Amum said that it is according to section 22 of the South Sudan Child Act 2008 which states that the Government have to take concrete measures treatment for re-habilitation protection of children in the country.
Francis added that there must be Human Dignity respect at all age in the country to control rape cases in South Sudan and in accordance to article 18 of the Transitional Constitution of the republic of South Sudan 2021 (as amended).
