Secondary School in Rumbek town has officially introduced Dinka language as one of the subjects

Abukloi Secondary School in Rumbek town has officially introduced Dinka language as one of the subjects to be taught in Senior one.

Senior ones have found learning Dinka alphabets very interesting.

The decision to introduce Dinka as a subject was reached in the previous academic year by the Abukloi board of directors after consulting with the teachers and administrators.

Knowledge of Dinka language will help the learners write letters and stories in their own indigenous language.

According to you, do you think introduction of Dinka language in Secondary Education is necessary more especially those who are in Dinka land but is a non Dinka ?

And is it necessary for the schools to introduce local language in their schools so that students don’t forget their local languages such as Moru, Morokodo, jur and etc?
