Indian embassy expands online government training

Merio Jimmy, Juba

The Indian embassy in Juba has recently completed a two week Environmental Impact Assessment online training course for a number of government employees.

In past years, the embassy has sent officials to India to complete the course with in person training. Eleven officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Petroleum and Ministry of Environment travelled to India when training was hosted in New Delhi.

Given the current COVID-19 pandemic, the embassy have switched to online tuition, which has reportedly been a great success. Officials attending the course this month thanked the embassy for organising such useful training that they felt would be highly beneficial in their line of work.
