Menesa Doboyi has been appointed Secretary General of the SPLM in Western Equatoria State.

Hon. Menesa Doboyi Aguli, former deputy governor of defunct Amadi State, has been appointed Secretary General of the SPLM party in Western Equatoria State. Menesa Doboyi, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude goes to the SPLM leadership, particularly H.E. Cde Salva Kiir Mayardit, Chairman of the SPLM and President of the Republic of South Sudan, and Cde Lam SPLM secretary general. Cde Dr. Kennedy Ganiko, SPLM Chairman of Western Equatoria State, and all SPLM members for their support and for entrusting me for the second time to be the SPLM State Secretary for Western Equatoria State. He went on and wrote on his Facebook page that national building require patience. "The road to 'Nation Building' is not an easy one; patience is required." He wrote. The journey to nation building is a journey of collective efforts to ensure that all of us arrive at our intended destination." "The SPLM is Peace, Unity, and Prosperity," he added, "in which our citizens can live in harmony." Cde. John Henry, former SPLM states secretary, wrote on his Facebook page that Do not let the events of discontinuity break your heart; instead, believe in what God has planned for you in the future. " Don't let your heart be broken in the events of discontinuity, but believe in what God has planned for you in future". He wrote. Hon. Ann Tuna, Minister of Transport, has described the former SPLM state secretary as a wise leader. "A great leader with extraordinary wisdom." She also advised the former SPLM state secretary to stay committed to and loyal to the SPLM party. "Because it is the decision of the SPLM Chairman for Western Equatoria State, you respect the SPLM decision, and he may have a plan for you somewhere, just stay committed and loyal to your Party." Cde. John Henry was appointed as SPLA secretary last year in 2021.
