Juba
The Ministry of Health have announced a number of director reshuffles as part of Ministerial Order No.15/2021, first published in February this year.
Notably, Dr Paul Samson Baba has been announced as the acting Director General of International Health for South Sudan. The position acts a link between South Sudan's health service and its international partners, namely NGOs.
Dr Baba previously served as as senior special advisor to the Ministry, based in the capital. In this capacity, he specialised in working alongside refugees and internally displaced persons.
The former director, Dr Thuou Loi Cingoth, has been appointed as Director General of Juba Teaching Hospital.
The Ministry of Health has urged all NGOs and international partners to heed the change in personnel, given the centrality of Dr Baba in the future relationship between the government and external organisations.
