The Minister of Defence and Veterans' Affairs Angelina Teny has arrived in Kigali to undertake a post-conflict peacebuilding and reconstruction course hosted by the Rwanda Peace Academy. Teny was joined by 25 senior military and police officers selected by South Sudan's Joint Defence Board to participate in the course.
The delegation visited the Genocide Memorial Centre shortly after arriving in the capital, paying respect to victims who's suffering brought about the unity and development Rwanda enjoys today.
Joining Teny at the opening of the peacebuilding course was her Rwandan counterpart, Maj. Gen. Albert Murasira.
The training was declared by Teny as an important step towards the development of South Sudan's unified forces, an important part of the R-ARCSS.
